Punta Bunga

The Punta Bunga dive site is a very calm site located beside the Yapak dive sites and the Balinghai Wall. Only about 15 minutes from the shores of Boracay boat station one, Punta Bunga is a very accessible dive spot. This dive site is directly connected to the walls of Yapak, but the currents are not as violent as they are in the Yapak dive sites.

Punta Bunga is almost a boring dive for all those who are seeking the thrill of danger and adventure, but it is a perfect spot for those who just want to relax. You will dive along a wall with plenty of cubbyholes where lionfish, groupers, triggerfish, moray eels and critter live. Do not put your hand in one of those holes because moray eels like to bite with gusto. You will also encounter emperor angelfish and butterflyfish all over the dive site. You will also find stingrays underneath rocks and corals in hiding.

The Punta Bunga dive site is perfect for open water level divers and less experienced divers because there barely are any currents and the maximum depths only goes down to 25 meters. The minimum depth is 9 meters and thus the Punta Bunga dive site still qualifies for a shallow dive. Make sure to bring your underwater camera because you might see plenty of critter and special stuff in the little cubbyholes. It is Punta Bunga where you go once you have tried every other dive spot on the island of Boracay and it is here where you relax your tense lungs and legs from the more demanding dives such as Crocodile Island or Yapak.
